Timbertec was born from a love for the forest that stretches across generations and continents. Our founder, Josef Wilhelmsson, comes from a long line of Swedish woodworkers who saw the forest not just as a resource, but as a legacy. He brought this heritage with him when he moved to the United States, eventually finding a new home that stirred the soul of his ancestors: the rolling green forests of East Tennessee.

Here, he discovered a landscape rich with character and beauty, reminiscent of the woodlands he’d left behind. Inspired, Josef founded Timbertec to unite two worlds: the clean, timeless principles of Swedish design and the rustic, authentic strength of hand-hewn Tennessee lumber.
